What is Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy or Pelvic Health Physiotherapy?

Pelvic health/ floor physiotherapy is an evidence-based treatment for common conditions within the  pelvis such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. Pelvic health physiotherapists  require advanced training to have the appropriate skills to assess your pelvic  floor muscles. The pelvic health physiotherapy assessment and treatment includes external as well as an internal exam to understand the strength and weakness in pelvic floor muscles. So, if you are in Scarborough, Toronto or GTA and experiencing the following pelvic health issues, please contact us. Our pelvic health physiotherapist in Scarborough can help address your issues and help you take charge of your pelvic health.  If you are looking for physiotherapy in Scarborough, then contact our clinic and our physiotherapist will be happy to advise you on physiotherapy treatment options available.

What is Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor includes muscles, ligaments, nerves and connective tissue. It plays an important role in the body by providing support for the bladder, genitals, uterus and anus. Pelvic health or pelvic floor physiotherapist have advanced education and training in treating people with pelvic health issues. Pelvic floor physiotherapy  and pelvic health physiotherapy are common terms used but they both address issues on the pelvic floor muscles.
